There are a few options available for longer stays on the island.
Some people come here for a longer work from home period, or get to know the island over a few weeks.
In general the options are limited, but with some planning and flexibility it is possible to stay for weeks or even months. There are both share houses and monthly apartments that may be vacant for a resonable price compared to normal hotels. 

Please note that high season in July and August tends to be the most difficult to find any accommodation. This applies to both long term and short term options.
