ABOUT THIS SITE

Thank you for visiting our page about the Bonin Islands.
Our goal when starting to build this page was to provide information in English to travellers with an interest in the islands, their culture and the amazing animals & nature that can be found here. 
As most available information about the islands is in Japanese, we are gradually building this site to help with useful content for access, lodging, activities and tips for how to best enjoy and make the most of any trip here.

This is an ongoing project and we will be updating the site with more details and sections in the near future, so make sure to come back!

• Ogasawara Tourist Association
  Informative site with listings of both lodging and restaurants on the island. The site has some information in English but some is only in Japanese.

• Ogasawara World Heritage Centre
  Great website with much information about the local nature and species. Some informative English brochures in PDF format can be downloaded.
